Former CFL and Argonaut star had some interesting words about Smokin' Rick and the CFL....

"This is a feeble excuse for the Toronto Argonauts to sell tickets and I'm embarrassed to have worn the A on my helmet. It shows classlessness in the organization. He has insulted professional football players. He has insulted the game of professional football. He has been suspended by the National Football League, he doesn't want to play. He's going to a place where his value will be limited."

There should be some sort of 'discouragement' to being able to swap leages to play pro ball when you have been suspended for unethical or unsportsmanlike conduct. At least extend a suspension to begin the season following when the player stops playing.

The league should suspend a player from the "profession". Violation should be punishable by permanent ban from the NFL & Pro Football HOF....or maybe 'triple the suspension'.

The CFL should not accept a suspended player, but I can't blame them for taking in a 'big name' that is doing time.

This one could use a little 'mellow'....either way, after two terms he is no longer eligible for public housing & will have to find another gig. That will probably scrap any plans to invade Canada that may be in the works.

Well, this thread has gotten a bit off topic. So allow me to continue the trend.

We may not be invading Canada anytime soon, but the Caronlina Hurricanes are beating the hell out of the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup. This once again proves that our Canadians are better than their Canadians.

That horrible excuse for a World Cup match on Monday was a disgrace. If only it had been in Hamburg the headlines could have been "Humiliation in Hamburg."
